This is just plain STUPID! This whole "glitch" (CRAP) last week that caused the delay of Murder By Pride to be released is now causing all the work (press releases, interviews, email campaigns, web site articles, etc...) to be flushed down the toilet, all this in only the first TWO weeks of the promotion! This flat out looks bad for the Band. The average person will blame Stryper for the whole mess...

Message from Dave Rose at Deep South:

Due to the delay in the release of the song "Murder by Pride" on iTunes last week, we have decided to keep it available for download for another week. We have learned (and by "we", we mean everyone… Big3, Deep South, and iTunes) that adding and removing songs on iTunes is not as precise time-wise as everyone would have liked it to be. Even iTunes was quick to admit this is something brand new for them, so unforeseen "glitches" may occur, but everyone is working hard to smooth this out.

The next scheduled song to be released is "4 Leaf Clover" on May 26. In the meantime, you can still download "Murder by Pride" until then.

For those new to this promotion, Stryper is releasing a song per week through iTunes until the full album Murder by Pride is released on July 21, 2009 (exactly to-the-day, 25 years after the release of The Yellow and Black Attack EP). All involved on the technical front have asked for your patience as they refine the system to be able to deliver each song on schedule. In the meantime, your best bet is to check iTunes weekly for new Stryper songs.

yip, i feel sorry for all those that have made promos and advertised the itunes song releases...it just makes Stryper look like a bunch of amateurs to the rest of the music community, not to mention pissing off all the itunes Stryper fans that now have to wait an extra week for music that is already 2 yrs late.... and people have the right to be real pissed off....i think i need another cup of tea now

Seems like they could have kept MBP available for another week AND made 4LC available also. Like sweetfox said, it's already two years late. It's trickling out over iTunes and I still haven't seen ANY promotion. A couple interviews with Michael but not a word from the rest of the band. The new material is too good to get this kind of treatment.

Yeah it's really lame. I don't blame Stryper, but I do think they could have just made the new song available and left the old one up too. I'm ready to buy the songs, so put em out NOW.
