2004-2005 | Michael Sweet / Stryper - Reborn Demo | CD - NOT FOR TRADE

2004-2005 | Michael Sweet / Stryper - Reborn Demo | CD - NOT FOR TRADE
This is the demo CD that was to become the next Michael Sweet album. It is hard to call this a demo because the production is top notch. It is more like a completed album that never existed. After the successful Stryper reunion tour it was turned into the next Stryper album. The other Stryper members were brought in and re-recorded parts to be mixed into the final release. There are only slight differences in the demo to the actual Stryper release. I have noted some of the more noticeable differences below.

??/??/90 | Against The Law - Demo | CD

These sound more like professional studio recordings. At first these songs might sound exactly like the album release, but give them a close listen and you’ll notice other differences. For instance, there are no backing vocals, you can hear them count before the songs start, and other small things are different than the album release.

01/04/85 | San Francisco, CA - Wolfgangs | CD

Most all of the song on this are very different from the album versions especially the songs from the “Soldiers Under Command” album which wouldn’t be released for over 4 months (5/16/85). It’s cool to hear the songs with different arrangements and different lyrics and verses. One of the highlights is the unreleased song “Roxx Regime” which six years later became the song “Can’t Stop The Rock”.
This was recorded at a small club in San Francisco, decent sound for it’s age, I’ll rate it a solid 8.

??/??/85 | Soldiers Under Command - Demos | (Live Instrumental Rehearsal) | CD

I’m not sure of the exact date these were recorded so if you might know please contact me (thx). These tracks sound like a live rehearsal without vocals. Occasionally you can hear some conversation after a song ends and even some cues to each other while performing. You can really get a sense of their amazing talent and the energy they put into their performances listening to the songs like this.

1982-83 | Roxx Regime Demo | CD

This is a transfer from a cassette tape of Stryper, before they were Stryper. This is back when they were Roxx Regime. The songs, and many of the lyrics sound the same, but some are different. This is different then the Roxx Regime demos that were released in 2007. It’s a soundboard recording, but it is from tape and slightly hissy and bass heavy. Still listenable though.
