This is a special indie release of the “Touched” cd. It was only available from www.MichaelSweet.com and the first 500 preorders were autographed by Michael.
In addition to several classic Stryper ballads, this album contains Michael’s intreptation of many pop standard songs previously recorded by artists such as Joe Crocker (”You Are so Beautiful”), Billy Joel (”She’s Got a Way”), Harry Nilsson (”Without You”), Roberta Flack (”The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face”), Bette Midler (”The Rose”) and Chicago (”Color My World”). It also features the brand new Michael Sweet song “My Love, My Life, My Flame” |

Founded in 2002, the band Mars Hill’s unique alternative, melodic rock sound was born out of guitarist “Chip” and vocalist Jack Marques’ chance meeting with acclaimed producer Michael Sweet (solo artist, Stryper vocalist). In addition to producing the CD, Michael Sweet provided background vocals and additional guitar on the song “Love Waits” along with an acoustic guitar performance on “I Remember You”.

Unstryped "The Post Stryper Sessions" consists of the first few songs recorded & released by Michael Sweet following his departure from Stryper. The insert says that the songs were recorded in 1992 but, the album was not released till 1999. The first couple of songs remind me, musically of a mix between "Against the Law" and his first self tited solo album. "All I Wanna Do" was, of course, redone for Sweet’s first full-length CD. "Unstryped" also features Tony Placios (Guardian) on the first two tracks! |
